Strong International Partnerships
Swansea Bay Partnership has established trading links and partners in a number of countries in Europe and China to encourage inter trading and to increase business opportunities between the regions. Regions have included:
Recent activity with our international partners saw delegations from China, Denmark, Sweden and Estonia visiting Swansea to participate in the “East Meets West” inter-trading event, with companies from across the Swansea Bay area.
Futurallia
Swansea Bay Partnership is a regular participant in the annual Futurallia international business development forum, where companies from across the Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas have met with companies from 40 countries worldwide. The most recent of these events took place in Poitiers, France, and in partnership with International Business Wales, 6 Swansea Bay companies were supported and attended the high profile Business Forum.
Following the success of previous participation in this event, Swansea Bay Partnership is now seeking companies who wish to take part in the next Futurallia event in 2008, which will take place in Quebec, Canada.
The event consists of scheduled one to one meetings, with each participant selecting up to 20 meetings from an online catalogue. As well as the full programme of organised meetings companies will be given the opportunity to learn about the characteristics of other cultures.
Swansea Bay businesses can take the opportunity to strengthen their overseas networks and identify new market opportunities by attending this international business forum, which historically is attended by in the region of 1,000 companies representing over 40 countries.
