The Life

Swansea Bay encompasses all the elements that add up to a much coveted ideal: true quality of life. It starts at the waters edge, where mile-long stretches of gleaming sand, breathtaking cliffs, dramatic rocky coves and some of Europe’s highest dunes redefine the meaning of ‘unspoilt’. Naturally the Bay is a magnet for surfers and water sports of every kind, but beyond the waves, your opportunities for enjoyment widen further still.

World class biking, walking, golf and fishing are all very much part of the scenery, from the densely wooded slopes of the Afan Valley, to the waterfalls in the Vale of Neath and across the rolling green farmland of Carmarthenshire. The Gower Peninsula was Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it will only take you a few moments there to see why.

Away from the wilds, Swansea Bay provides numerous award-winning restaurants and places to stay, and easy access to theatres, concert halls, galleries and cinemas. Swansea and the area's many lively towns are great for shopping and browsing, while Wales’ prestigious capital city, Cardiff, is a short journey away. People talk a lot about ‘lifestyle’. Here you are free to perfect your own.

“Our working environment is perfectly placed for our business.  Call of the Wild is a successful outward bounds business operating in the Vale of Neath.  The business is compounded by a superb quality of life and the support we receive from the local authority.”
